Integration of Tribals

Tribal communities and its people have been discriminated and segregated from mainstream culture and the facilities of neighboring metropolitan cities. These people can be understood as being in a similar state of Native Americans in the United States. Recently, an anonymous member proposed the idea of integrating Indian Tribal People into modern Indian society and abolishing their caste discriminations. For some background, the Irula tribe for example, are highly skilled snake catchers. They are also very knowledgeable about herbal treatments for venomous snake bites. As a result, they are often hired by other Indian people to catch snakes. However, despite their help, they are subject to inhumane discrimination. Police officers in India themselves are known to throw Irula tribe members in jail for false cases by taking bribes from the true suspect. These tribe members are unable to fight for their rights as well because their caste has been historically discriminated and they do not have any form of identification. As a result, they are unable to legally fight for their rights. It is up to us, the members of NXTWRLD, to not only help Irula tribe members but also many of the other tribes that are being discriminated against in India. It took almost 50 years for African Americans to gain rights in America, and now some of the world's most influential people are of African American descent. The concept that caste or race predetermines and individual's value is wrong and inhumane. Let us foster a supportive community that welcomes diversity and inclusion.
